About this Wine

The 2013 Te Mata Coleraine is the stuff of legends. Widely held to be one of the finest Bordeaux blends to be produced in New Zealand. 2013 was a stellar year and this wine will be drinking well for the next 30 years. Its powerful attack of beautifully ripened blackberries and black plums integrates with an accompanying surge of immediate tannin which quickly becomes the focus as the wine flows across the palate. Majestic, stylish, and utterly refined!

98 POINTS: An intense, powerful wine with obvious cellaring potential. Initially the wine is hard to read but layers of dark berry, cedar, spice and savoury characters are displayed on its considerably lengthy finish. This is the best vintage of Coleraine I can recall tasting.
