COVID-19 Update and FAQ's
Can I order wine online?
Yes absolutely, we are open for business as usual during the Covid-19 Level 4 period. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has a full list of what qualifies as an essential business here.
MBIE have approved established and experienced businesses such as ours to continue to operate our online ordering systems and we have implemented all contactless delivery and safe handling processes to ensure the safety of our team and customers.
What about delivery times?
Across New Zealand things are flowing smoothly with stock coming in from the wineries and suppliers. Just occasionally deliveries are taking a day or 2 longer than normal as the couriers prioritise medical, health and other essential services each day. Your patience and understanding is appreciated should this briefly affect your order.
How much is delivery in New Zealand?
Just $10 a case of 12 bottles (or part case) with FREE delivery if your order is over $300
Is there any minimum order quantity?
No, you can order just 1 bottle if you wish, but please note that normal delivery costs do apply.
Who will deliver my order in New Zealand?
We work with the great team of couriers at NZ Post who have a specialist wine delivery and handling service. The special orange address label on your order lets the NZ Post team know there is wine inside to be handled with care.
How does contactless delivery work?
NZ Post couriers (including CourierPost and Pace) will knock on the door as usual and step back two metres (or as far back as safe). They will wait for someone to come to the door and greet them as usual. They will then ask for the recipient’s name (to record proof of delivery) and verify that they are over the 18 years of age. They will then leave your wine on the doorstep. The person receiving the wine will not sign for the delivery directly.
If no one comes to the door and there is no Parcel Leave service in place, the courier will follow the standard process which is to leave a card to call, with details of the delivery and return the wine to the local depot.
If you wish to have your wine placed in a particular location we highly recommend you place a note at your front door with instructions. That will minimise the risk of your wine being returned to the depot.
