Lime Hill Vineyard

A joint passion for Burgundian Pinot Noir and Chardonnay led Karl Heinz Johner and Raphael Bruki to search for years before finding the perfect north-west facing site in Martinborough that has limestone-dominant soils with a small top layer of clay. Lime Hill Vineyard is a TINY producer that established their vineyard in 2013. The entire estate is 1.3 hectares: 0.9 hectares of Pinot Noir and 0.4 hectares of Chardonnay.

Fear not, for the small size of Lime Hill Vineyard, the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are farmed organically and there is minimal intervention in the winery. Lime Hill Vineyard is approximately 280 metres above sea level with a vine density of 6,000 vines per hectare. This is to allow the wine to tell its story of the terroir and climate of their vineyard.
